The Community Co-Ownership Initiative

The Community Co-ownership Initiative is a partnership between NCLT, the
People of Color Sustainable Housing Network (POCSHN) and the Sustainable Economies Law Center (SELC) along with other members of the Bay Area CLT Consortium (BACCLT) to diversify and expand access to shared ownership and
resident controlled housing through leadership training, development of financing tools, and technical support.

East Bay Permanent
Real-Estate Cooperative

We are partnering with the Sustainable Economies Law Center on developing a scalable cooperative housing model designed to spread the idea that all people should aspire to live in community controlled housing.
This initiative seeks to make land and housing more accessible to community members, especially those that have been historically disenfranchised, in the face of rampant speculation and rising real estate prices.

Orientations & Community Building Potlucks

We host quarterly orientations & community building potlucks to discuss different themes, visions, and give updates on the ongoing projects of the Network.

Meetup Events

The network's MeetUp Events includes trips to co-housing openings & tours, visiting existing/potential people of color-led land projects, farms & communities, financial & legal literacy workshops, and cooperative living/community building skill-shares.
